Help - ideas please

We have a south facing Kitchen with plesant view - on our new extention we are having velux central pivot windows installed, yet for the main kitchen window are uncertain about the style

Eg openers of not ? if we have openers it completly breaks up the view and we wonder
1)what the is the maximun size window we could have with no openers/bars
1a) could we even do this - fire reg etc - sun room with french door comes of this (see other question)
2) would it be better to have a coating to relect the heat? - south facing
3) would Argon ? filling make any difrrence?

Thoughts please

You can technically go as big as you want, the glass just gets thicker to suit its own weight (ie Laminated) providing the roof is held up by a lintel.

Can u post a picture of the building? LowE glass would be a minimum requirement, you wouldn't need fire escape windows in a kitchen. Argon helps.

toughened glass you are limited in height as the machine will only do a certain size cant remember what it is

argon gas does help a lot of plans nowadays specify it
