What size cutter for bath tap holes?

Hi

can someone advise on what size hole saw/cutters i need to buy to purchae for a tap hold on a bath?

I'm guessing i need the 29mm cutters but want to buy a good quality srt online and am not sure of the sizes i need.

Well, your taps are generally 1/2inch and 3/4inch, so I would say a couple of mm bigger than those

some taps have lugs on the bottom as well, so maybe better to see the taps before buying the cutter
 
Yes but surely theirs a standard size cutter thats used?

only very old taps have the lugs :idea: and the half and 3/4 inch is the bore of the barrel pipe - so nearer 3/4 and 1 inch ;)
