What size cutter for bath tap holes?

Hi

can someone advise on what size hole saw/cutters i need to buy to purchae for a tap hold on a bath?

I'm guessing i need the 29mm cutters but want to buy a good quality srt online and am not sure of the sizes i need.

Well, your taps are generally 1/2inch and 3/4inch, so I would say a couple of mm bigger than those

some taps have lugs on the bottom as well, so maybe better to see the taps before buying the cutter

only very old taps have the lugs and the half and 3/4 inch is the bore of the barrel pipe - so nearer 3/4 and 1 inch
