Is there a marked earth terminal or a pigtail wire on the new fitting? It might be double-insulated, in which case no earth is needed. Picture? The light that I am fitting is chrome. How would I earth it?
Why do you not think that the answer to that question is "by connecting the earth cores in the cables to the earth terminal of the light"?How would I earth it?
"Terminals"?So the single cable goes into the live, the other 2 would go into the neutral terminals?
On the new fixture, yes. The old one definitely looks like brown & grey in the photos, as confirmed by the OP.It's blue not grey.
I have to say that it looks very grey to me (on the original fitting). It's blue not grey.
