Hi all,

At the bottom of my garden I have planted connifers and they are getting
near the height I want them at. Do I cut them as soon as they get to the
6ft I want or should I let them go past this and then cut back?

I have put photos here:

Many thanks for your time
Paul

Would be topping them early so the tops can bush out, thus keeping a flat top at 6 feet.

Nothing looks worse than a hedge thats been pruned back to much.

lopping the top off is fine, don't bother pruning the main body, do that in late Sept / October. Do however keep on top of them, conifers in the main do not grow out from dead wood.
