Which cable and which socket ?

I want to fit some additional sockets in a bedroom.
I've got the back boxes in place (need a bit of plaster work doing ) but I'm unsure if I should buy single or dual pole sockets and which cable is the correct one to use too.
Any help appreciated.

Couldn't find the answers in the 'sticky' .
From what I can make out in the Wiki section I need to check the MCB 1st to se if I need 2.5mm or 4mm.
Not found the answer to single or dual pole yet though !

Single pole - good enough most of the time.

Double pole - better.

32A ring final 2.5mm should be fine, single pole ok but I only fit DP now as they have a bit more about them.

Yep check your MCB rating make sure it is a ring final as well, if not sure
call the experts
