Afternoon,

I am new to this site so please accept my apologies if I have posted too much!

I have an old Worcester 240 RSF combi that is on it's last legs so I am considering replacing it. A few parts need replacing and it is not very efficient I feel due to recent gas bills being rather high...

I know all products bought can have faults and their downfalls but I am after some general advice from end users / installers on what potential replacement I should go for.

I don't want to spend more than £650 really and am after a 24kW boiler, here are the few I have looked at:

Ariston MicroGenus 24 HE High Efficiency Condensing Combi Boiler

Ariston Clas 24 HE High Efficiency Condensing Combi Boiler

Glowworm Ultracom 24 CXi Condensing Combi Boiler

Ideal Esprit 24 HE High Efficiency Combi Boiler

Let me know your thoughts and by all means suggest any others you consider might be worth looking at.

Cheers,

Sam2349.

it is a shame heatline is under "troublesome" as i fit them(the B & A rated models) and they are not that bad. maybe in a few years we can have a better measure of them.

glad biasi are not classed as crap anymore

Installed quite a lot of Biasi boilers, they are cheap and i've never had one go wrong yet.

Where does Buderus come into this? Not listed. How about Broag, not listed. How about Quantum? Missing How the top rated Ethos, again missing.

Don't take too much notice of this FAQ.

Don't bother with any of these. Most are worth more in scrap value.

That FAQ is YOUR personal opinion. and that must be stated in bold.

These recommendations are the personal views of our members who are all Corgi Registered fitters. Opinions are highly contentious!

You never read the posts properly!

MY personal opinion was the Valliant Turbomax.

Which is a mid-range boiler and no Viessmann, ECO-Hometec (MAN), ACV, Atmos, Atag, Archie Kidd, etc.

It is a poor guide indeed.

You are the only person who has commented negatively on this topic.

If anyone agrees with you or would like some editing done to improve the guide let them speak now or forever hold their tongue.

I have no wish to argue with you. :D
