hire a belt sander
but make sure all nails are below the surface

Thinkin of buying a cheap home brand belt sander just for this job.

boards are 110mm wide.

No, not the handheld type. Breezer meant a specialist machine the size of an upright hoover. It's the best and fastest way, especially if you value your knees. Check out local hire shops

Make sure you bury all nails the day before hiring the machine, it can take ages going over the floor and looking for nails/carpet tacks/staples etc

he means a floor sander. it will cost you more in sanding belts if you buy a cheap machine than it will to hire one. it will give a much better and quicker result as well.
