My oven makes a buzzing sound when the oven is off. Upon investigation ther is 115V applied to the fan motor (which does not work at this voltage). after around 15min the mains trips. The oven works normally in its normal function! Any clues please?

Are the input connections & internal distribution links connected correctly? If you do not have the user guide & instalation instructions go on line with the relevant model number & download the relevant documents.

Some ovens have a fan that runs after it is switched off to cool the area underneath the controls. It normally vents at the front.

Some of these have dropper resistors to reduce the 240V down to around 110V so that the fan runs slower. (Normally Tangential fans).

The bearings and motors wear on these preventing them from running and you get a humming noise as they attempt to. They can in some cases start drawing more and more power as they try to run (windings get hot and can short out) causing MCB or RCD to trip in extreme cases.

Its not very common but may be worth a look.
