I have backed up my Win 7 OS & system files in the past but now, every time I try to run backup it fails & I get “backup failed because a file is in use by another program” (no other programs are running) & the error code 0x80070020. The only reference I can find to this is a shortened version 80070020, which seems be relate to a failure to download Win 7 updates. I don’t have a problem with updates & my system has all the latest installed so it doesn’t seem to be relevant.
I’ve tried backing up to an external drive & 2 other internal drives & always get the same result. Anyone point me in the right direction to solving this as it’s driving me nuts!
