Wireless card

I have a Dell Dimension 3100 desk top pc i am looking to go wire less (moving the computer upstairs)any particular card to look for and any to avoid, thanks in advance.Should mention for internet connection, already have a router.

perhaps get a wireless router instead? probably get better coverage than a wireless card.

The router I have is wireless just need a card to pick up the signal.

Get same brand as router. Make sure it's 54G. PCI card or usb dongle. If usb get a small usb extension cable for it, hang it up next to the PC for improved reception. Much better than having it under the desk amid a tangle of cables.

Go for usb dongle for easy install but pci card is better.

No problem,to answer your question the router is down stairs computer up stairs,been out and bought a usb dongle,set it and working proper,thanks to all.
