Wiring an in line dimmer and switch. I need help!

Hey guys, I just bought an in line dimmer and an in line switch. The dimmer has two terminals at one end that say L and N and on the other end it has L and the s with the arrow going through it. Can you please help me as to which wires go in which terminals?

Also, I've got an in line switch that has L and N at either end. If you could halp me with this as well i would greatly appreciate it.

My cored has Brown, black and earth and the switch and dimmer are both plastic.

I am not familiar with Aussie switches - do you have any instructions?

I don't know what the laws are in Victoria, but I do know that in Australia they are very restrictive, and in some states incredibly so, and I believe that they are actually enforced and that the penalties for transgression can be severe.

You must ask this on a suitable forum, not a UK one.
