Hi,

Am just replacing an old exterior security light
The current light has a terminal block for Live, Sw Live, Neu, and Earth.
It has a supply of 3 core and earth (Red/Yell/Blue/Gr-Ye) See pic:
The 2G switch that controls the light (on wall in garage) has wiring like this. The switch on the left livens both Red and Yellow and the one on the right controls just the yellow. I guess this is so that if the Left hand swith is on the lamp is perm on, and if the right hand switch is on it is on sensor?
OK, so question is, how do I wire my new light fitting which looks like this? (meant for two core and earth). Apparently it can be made to stay perm on by switching whilst the PIR is activated. It is recommended to have a switched supply.

So, what do I do with my red and yellow wires at the light end?
Do I need to change the wiring at the switch end?
Would really appreciate your help.
Thanks,

red to live, blue to neutral, earth to earth..
disconnect the yellow from the switch and light and place in a terminal block both ends..

ColJack,

Excellent - that's exactly what I've done and all seemed well.
Thanks for the reply :)
