Worcester Bosch 28cdi problem

Can anyone help with this problem?

When I turn on the hot tap, the hot water light on the boiler comes on quickly followed by the flame light which I can hear fire up.

After a few seconds the CH light flashes quickly and turns off the flame light so everything is off again.

With the hot tap still running, it just repeats the process over and over.

This doesn't happen every time, but enough for it to be annoying.

That sounds like Fail Point I has happened. Have you got the MI's and a multimeter and the skill to use it?

Thanks for your replies. I don't think I have the skill to repair anything myself but I will see about fail point 1.

It could be caused by a few different things.

It could be a faulty thermistor.
It could be a blocked h/w heat exchanger
It could be PCB

Really you need to get a gas safe engineer (who's handy with a multimeter) out to take a look at it. Hopefully it'll be a dodgy thermistor (cheapest option)
