I wish to install Cast Raidiators in my system, is it possible to keep the DHW operating and isolate the CH over a period of a week or so while I complete the work. The boiler appears to have two isolating taps on the in and outlet pipes.

In theory you could close valves.
Problem is they tend to leak when you open them.

your going to drain it down anyway so cut the flow and return pipes and put in a couple of pegler full bore service valves ,fill back up and you wont have to touch the old valves.
