Hi all, hope someone can help.

Our boiler no longer produces hot water, the central heating still seems OK. Turning the HW tap on produces warm (not hot) water, after a while the boiler starts banging violently before the gas supply is cut. I can't get the solenoid on the diverter valve to do anything. Also worth noting is the pressure gauge which is reads between 0 - 1 bar, is this normal? When turning the hot water tap on the demand light comes on, thus the flow switch is OK. Anyone know what could be going on, any test I can do?

Cheers, Robo

If there is a real fault then you may well need a competent boiler engineer to diagnose the problem.

However, the boiler is not expected to work if the system pressure is low!

The owner is expected to know how to repressurise and it should be reset to about 1.5 Bar cold.
