The gas people came and did some work down my road the other day and disconnected our gas briefly.

Now the light on the boiler is flashing, i press reset and then after 2 mins of it trying to startup i get flashing lights again.

I assume i have air in my gas pipe and the air in the gas supply now needs bleeding. How do i go about bleeding the air from the gas supply? Can anyone advise me further?

It is probably air or nitrogen in the gas pipe.

Do you have a gas cooker working properly?

The only thing you can do is to continue to make it try and resetting. Eventually it will probably fire up.

As gas registered there are other things we could do but not for a DIYer.

Is the gas supply on at the meter?

Supply hasnt been purged correctly...... won't be nitrogen as thats seldom used on low pressure mains work except for decommissioning old mains....

Get them back to make sure the supply is fully purged..... 0800 111 999
