Unless my eyes deceive me, they are not wearing hard hats!!

Why bother, it seems they may have no brains worth preserving.

But it is a creative way to solve an access problem.

They certainly do have brains because they've solved a difficult problem in an imaginative way, and used the resources at their disposal.
