How doin' folk?

I have recently moved and have inherited an HSA500 Yale alarm system, and I would like to cage the pin number. I have downloaded the instructions from Yale but alas I think my system is even older than their plans as they talk about a programme button when my panel does not have one, it merely has a light that states,"learn" which I cannot get to light up.
Any ideas would be gratefully received

HSA500?

Never seen one. I suppose it is one of their old wired alarms.

Post as many photos as you can and it may trigger some memories.

Hi there I have a HSA 500 system and the proceedure says:-
1. enter the current code number - the standby light should flash.
2. press 2 - zones 1,2,3 and 4 will be lit
3. enter your new 4 digit code number - as you enter each number one zone light will go out etc. As the last digit is entered all zone lights will go out followed by 2 acceptance bleeps and the control unit will return to SATANDBY
4. Note if the new user code is not entered within 20 secs the unit returns to standby and retains the old user code.
