I would like to replace the BT Master Socket with nicer looking one. Now the current socket has A and B. The replacement ones I see have the six terminals. How do these relate to each other? I know you are not supposed to replace the BT Master Socket so this is simply theoretical I will contact BT if needed.

A and b go to 2 and 5 ,does not matter which way around you connect them.Make sure you fit a master socket and not just a extension socket.
Also use the correct tool ...krone

And do not mix wire sizes in the same connector.
