We keep getting a false alarm from the garage sensor. The system was installed in 1996, and has been trouble free until now. I have cleaned and checked all the connections, but no joy. Do these sensors become "faulty" and should I replace it?

Thanks John.

Make sure that the microwave range is not set too high - microwaves will go through windows, walls and doors and detect movement outside. Back it off, wait a minute and walk test the DT.

I am also having the same problem with false alarms from motion sensors. I have tried relocating them, but still not working.

Well I've replaced the sensor with a Pyronix KX10DTP Pet Immune DualTec. And it seems to have cured the problem.

Thanks for all the replies. John.

Just an update.

We had another false alarm last week, this time with one of the house sensors, so I have now replaced all the original sensors with new. I got them from Bradgate supplies at Coalville via Ebay.
