Hi

I have a verandah (used 90% of time) on zone 1
Front door on zone 2

since changing front door it is now in use more but goes into alarm state when we enter the property.

I have reset it at "prog, 1, 4, 1 but it goes off immediately.

I would like to leave zone 1 (the verandah) as zone 1 and sort out this front door zone 2.

ALSO, a further problem while I am here:

On entering the verandah it counts down the 30 seconds, but opening second door (zone 4 where control box is) it goes into alarm status.

Yet I used to have a time to walk in both doors and key the code in.

appreciate help guys please

I am a, long in the tooth tradesman but seem to be getting forgetful and can not remember how I have managed to cock it up as it was fine when I replaced the whole lot a couple of years ago

thanks

Hi sounds like the zones are not set correctly.

the first zone you enter should be your entry zone
subsequent zones on route to the keypad should be inhibited zones
the rest should be instant alarms.

right

I have zone 1 & 2 which are both entry doors to the property.
zone 2 is front door where stairs keypad is.

zone 1 is verandah with zone 4 the second door entry (where control box is)

HOW SHOULD THEY BE SET

with respect telling me they are wrong (I already know that) won't help me, I need to know WHERE I have gone wrong.

thanks

Hi sounds like the zones are not set correctly.

How many zones do you have?

Which zones are entry zones (zones you enter the property and should start the entry timer)

Which zones do you walk past between starting the entry timer and getting to the keypad to disarm the alarm.

I am a little confused as to what zones 1, 2 and 4 are supposed to be.

If you walk from zone 1 to zone 4 and then enter your code to disarm the alarm.

Then Zone 1 is entry/ exit and zone 4 is inhibited.

How have you got your zones programmed at present?

ok how do I make zone 4 inhibited please

also how do I make zone 2 (the front door) not sound when I enter as that door is used for access now.

the correct key presses in eng mode would help please

had it fine once but somehow it has gone all screwed up

thanks

in program 1 the full set

select 3 time inhibit zones

select zone 4 it should be illuminated (at default zone 2 would be light indicating it had been selected for time inhibit)

Reset 4 times to exit to day mode.

page 15 of the installation manual has a nice flow diagram showing this.

Great, that's the verandah and my office sorted (1 & 4) thanks

Just need to access front door now and then without setting alarm off.

do I have to do it as program 2 or can I do the following.

prog, 1, 2, 2

or will that over ride what I have set for 1 & 4?

thanks for you help so far

Okay the process is similar but you have to do an entry zone (Timed) for zone 2.

Exactly as you outlined, it shouldn't touch the previous programing at all.

Glad things are getting sorted. Don't for get to click thanks my post.

Thank you

is it prog, 1, 2, 2 or prog, 2, 2, 2

I want to make sure I am understanding correctly.

Your help is appreciated.

sorry for not seeing the thanks button earlier

select program 1
select 2 timed zones
select 2 zone 2

reset 4 times this should give zone 2 as an entry exit zone like zone 1

let us know how you get on
