Hello

is there a way to control how long the external siren in this system goes on for once activated? I see in the advanced setting there is one for the internal control panel sounder time but I cant see a similar setting for the external siren. If not, how long does it usually last for on the batteries before they die out?

Cheers

It is against the law for your siren to go for longer than 20 minutes.

The 6200 system alarm is default set at a 4 minute activation but you can toggle this to 10 minutes with a dip switch in the siren.

The 6400 system can however be programmed up to 15 minutes in one minute intervals.

Its not in the adv settings menu.

Instead go to the devices menu
Scroll down till you get to programme siren.

Then select the option for altering the siren length.

Sirens do obviously stop if the timer runs out but if the same condition that started the alarm exists they could reactivate ie intruders still in the house.

If the siren batteries are getting low you will hear five beeps from the siren when you set the alarm. You can also tell if the battery needs changing if instead of a continuale warble when the siren sounds there is instead an interupted sound.
