Can you be a wee bit more specific.....do you mean the extra power lamp remains lit, or something? Or has the off/on rocker switch jammed in the on position?

Not a bad repair.....when the top is upside down on the bench and the screws undone, just watch for the rollers falling out when you lift the two pieces clear. These allow the top to spin when the base is stationary.
