Just got given a Henry HVR200A vacuum cleaner - it works on normal mode but cuts off if you press the boost switch. Sounds as though there is a switch or relay that is faulty. It can be re-set by switching off then on again. Anybody have experience on this :?: :(

Thanks

I contacted Numatic, the manufacturer - Seems to me Henrys were too reliable and the manufacturer has introduced a "power save" feature which fails. Apparently there is an electronic circuit board which fails - the old models just had a change-over switch for the two speeds.

Can't you remove the electronic circuit board and rewire it so it only works on high power mode, that's what everyone uses anyway.

Yes - i'll by-pass the circuit board. Just wandered if someone had already done it ?
