Hotpoint TDC30 'Push to Start' button won't stay in

I have a TDC30 dryer and, when I press the Push To Start button it refuses to stay in. If I hold it in, the dryer works.

Would anyone know if I need to take the front panel off to make sure there's no obstruction, dirt etc, or will it require an engineer? I guess the other question is, does anyone know the best way to take the front panel off so I can check it out?

Switch is faulty , remove the lid and it just pops out.

Thank you, Rocks1. I'll give that a go. I'm guessing a replacement switch should be fairly easy to source. I've just been looking on espares.co.uk and there are loads of spare parts but is it an actual 'start switch' I should be looking for?
