My washing machine tripped the mains during a wash. After trying fuse and different socket I have emptied washing and water, blown down the pressure pipe, disconnected all wires from heater element. When switched
on the lights on the front light up and the house hold mains still trip after about 15 seconds. Nothing in the back looks burnt dusty or dirty.
Is it worth changing the mains filter and chancing it as iv read it could be this or is there a way to test it? ......or any other suggestions would be welcomed.
Cheers

Could be the motor as well. Disconnect both but one at a time see what still trips.

Ok Rock1 I pulled the earth spade connector and wiring block connector off the motor and the lights stayed on the front and the mains hasnt blown. Can I safely presume if i replace the motor the machine should be ok?
Cheers
