Indesit W113 Washing Machine door handle

I'm trying to put a new handle on the door but like the idiot I am I forgot to take a photo before removing the damaged one. I dont suppose anyone has a photo of how it should look, I'm at a loss as to where to place the spring.

This is how I've tried it but I dont think its correct. Maybe someone can tell me where I'm going wrong?

Shouldn't the L shaped ends of the spring come out on the opposite side?
