Was changing the rear brake light bulb on an 02 Yaris.
Bulb dropped into the innards of the rear light cluster. It's rolling around in there.
So I went out and bought a magnetic pick up tool, only to find that it has no effect on car light bulbs. They must be made of brass or something.

Any ideas? I am going to have to remove the whole rear light cluster at this rate. Or just leave the rogue bulb in there...

6 inch length of insulation tape.
Wrap tightly round a thin screwdriver, leaving half an inch dangling at the bottom.

First time, the bulb was hooked and came out.

I fished out broken section of damaged rear lamp with a lump of blue-tack on a piece of wire coat hanger.
