My engine management light has come in the manual it states the engine is over heating. water temp cold, radiator cold, no pressure in hoses anyone got any ideas what might be wrong with it
This management light - is it a yellow one with a picture of an engine on it?
If so, its stored a fault code in the van's on board computer which can be read by anyone with suitable diagnostic equipment. Quite frankly, its unusual for this to come on for an overheating issue, especially as yours clearly isn't - usually this lamp signifies a fault in the fuelling, ignition or exhaust systems.
Either way, do check all of the fluid levels - oil, water, brake fluid and PAS just in case they are linked somehow.

Is the Vivaro likely to be similar to a Zafira, there are two warning lights on the Zaf one is an engine with a spanner on it which is the management light and one with just an engine which is exhaust related. If the two are likely to be similar follow this tip on how to get a fault code up.
try this may not work does on some vauxhalls
hold brake and accelerator to the floor
put ignition on so dash lights up but not start
the light may then flash at you just count the flashes and gaps
ie 10 -3-10-10 then in that case search P0300
