Good evening everyone,

Hopefully you can shed some light. I would like to extend our end of terrace house with a two storey side extension. I have a couple of queries/challenges:

1. The plot is triangular an the side extension would face on to a road, although their is a neighbours garden in between. What are the implications of this?

2. What is the minimum distance allowed between he extension and the boundary fence with my neighbour. The neighbour has a garage abutting my boundary, would I be permitted to do the same?

3. I would like to consider a loft extension at the same time. Couple of queries on this- If I have to step in (probable/likely?) is it still possible to extend the loft into a stepped in roof?
If I wanted to add a dormer could I do his to the side as I have a garden in between the highway and the house or would this have to be to the rear?

I have uploaded a rough (cough) image in my album of what I am thinking. All advice appreciated.

Thanks[/img]

1. There are no implications

2. You can build on the boundary if your local planning policy allows it

3 Yes, and possibly
