Hello
I am buying a house with an adjacent building that has business use permission at present. It has not been used for 15 years for business use and is now a store for the main house owner. This is, the adjacent building apart, a residential property and area. It is deleted from the business rating list.
Can anyone advise me on whether I need to/should worry about getting a Certificate of Exisiting Use? I intend to use it as a home office and 'garage' for garden stuff. One day - a few years... I may want to use it for people to stay overnight as a guest room.
I am not really sure what 'residentuial' use means, and whether I need a CLEUD or not.
thanks
