I live in a Victorian property where an single storey extension has been built at the rear by the previous owner. The lower part of the rear external wall was removed and replaced with a RSJ. The walls upstairs above the opening are now cracking.
I'm wanting to rebuild some of the removed wall back onto the original foundations and have the weight of the RSJ and above wall distributed over a larger area.
Does this need Building Control involved???
