I'm in the process of planning to change some of the windows in my home. I understand we need building regs but if some of the windows will not be the same size as the original will planning need to be involved? Heres a rough idea of what we are changing:

1. Current Lounge window 3000cm x 120cm to 3 smaller but deeper units say 800cm x 200cm.

2. Bedroom window from 180cm x 120cm to 2 smaller units 60cm x 120cm

3. bedroom window 180cm x 120cm to juliet style balcony

4. kitchen window just reduced width by 30cm

I also want to reduce my bathrrom window from 90cmx90cm to 45cmx90cm so that I get enough wall to get a 900x900 shower installed. would this require a planning permission or can be just done without it.

Yes it would need building regs sign off, the only thing that doesn't is direct replacement by an approved company.
