Suggest you go and see site manager and in no uncertain terms tell him what you think of him and his maintenance crew, with regard to the state that they left your home in. Tell him that you intend to write to the companies managing director with your complaint. Write to the MD, you may get a sweetner, may not, just apology.
If it was one of our lads, he would be through the hole in the hedge that night.
