Hi there,

I have Planning Approval for a small stable block. I have poured the concrete base, but job uncertainty means that I'd prefer to delay building the superstructure for a while, potentially years. The stables do not require Blg. Regs. approval.

When does my Planning Approval expire now that I have commenced the build?

Thanks

Thanks.

The only Conditions are that the development begins within 3 years and it is built in accordance with the plans.

I take it that pouring the fonudation slab constitutes commencement.

I guess I can leave it for a while then.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

Yes it does. Assuming you have submitted a Building Regulation application, call out an inspector (if you haven't done so already) so they can note the works have commenced "just incase" you leave it for a looong time and then planning ask you (e.g.) in three years to prove the slab was done within the three years of the decision date.
