Hi I have just bought a new old house in Germany. There has been renovations done but only a downstairs toilet and shower room. There has been a new soil pipe installed with goes into the main sewer in the cellar.
We are about to add another bathroom above the existing toilet and need to add a soil stack which we can site inside the house directly above the existing pipe can you see any problems . The soil stack will extend above the new bathroom but do I need to go through the roof as the loft it massive and it will actually vent in the barn.

If there is an existing soil stack venting the system already then you may only need to add an AAV (air admittance valve) to your new stack.

Not familiar with Gerry building codes though.
