DIY conservatory footings question

Its a bit of an odd position for a drain tight against the wall! - Anyway to answer the question, the objective is to avoid putting any loading onto the pipe and to allow for potential settlement of the new structure.

Normally this is done by building the wall around the pipe forming a clearance hole with a small lintel over it so the pipe does not come into contact with the new structure. You can do similar by wrapping around it with some polystyrene sheet say at least 50mm thick so that when you pour concrete or build the wall the polystyrene acts as a spacer. The important thing is that the spacer needs to be compressable to allow for any movement.
