I am building a conservatory on the rear of the living room and replacing the window with folding doors of the same width, the house is of none standard construction being made out of concrete (Laing easiform). Do I need a lintel or not?

Word of warning!

If the property is Leasehold make sure you have the lease holders permission.
I had one built over 7 years ago. Got it in writing I didn't need planning permission etc. Come to sell the house and last week found out there was a covenant in the lease stating I couldn't make 'structural changes' without lease holders permission. Now going to cost £150-£200 to apply for it. Without it buyers will not proceed to exchange.
