rcbo keeps tripping on lighting circuit

Hi I've just replaced a mem 6amp mcb on a lighting circuit with a 6 amp type B 30 ma rcbo of similar make to add in outside lights. but problem is that when one set of lights on that circuit keep tripping rcbo. has anyone any ideas. Thanks

What do you mean by 'one set of lights'?

Do other lights on the same circuit NOT trip the rcbo?

IME, if it was a borrowed neutral, you'd get two devices tripping.
 
Indeed.

Maybe it's one set of outdoor lights that he's just added which is causing the trip.

What tests did you do on these new additions before and after energising them?
 
Did you test as you went along or just do it all in one go?

Fairly obvious thing to do is follow a process of elimination, reverse your changes one at a time until it works again then work out what's wrong.

Ie remove the new lights, does it all work now?

If not undo your next change, maybe that was the RCBO, does it work now?
