Hi,

I live in a block of flat, with 33 flats.

The roof is flat, and quite large. I think the usable surface for solar panels would be at least 150 m2.

We pay around £4,000 for communal electricity per year (communal lights, lifts, car park etc). We use around 3,000 watts per hour.

Would solar panels on the roof make sense just to pay for the communal electricity cost?

Thanks,
Tom

The middle of the roof is completely flat, so the solar panels could be oriented south and at the optimum angle.
