Wiring a ceiling light with 3 sets of each coloured wire

Hi,
I'm trying to wire in a ceiling light which has live, neutral and earth but I have 3 sets each of live neutral and earth coming from the ceiling. One of the black wires from the ceiling has some red tape wrapped around it. The light came with a 3 way terminal block so any advice on where each of the 9 wires go that I have coming from the ceiling would be greatly appreciated

The black with the red tape is the switched live, not neutral.

Connect all earths to the earth terminal.

Connect the black with the red tape to the LIVE of the light.
Connect the remaining two blacks to the NEUTRAL of the light.

Connect all the reds together in a separate piece of connector block.

All this is assuming it is one light, and no other lights come on with it.

Wiki: Please see if the answer to your query is already covered by the Wiki

and the equivalents at the tops of all the other fora could be made a lot bigger?

How about this as something more eye catching?

Its just that every day the same question gets asked at least twice and the regular contributors get bored giving the same answer over and over again.

Think that would help and also if the sticky topics were above the Wiki not below it
