Just wanted to confirm what people thought of as being the ideal floor surface to lay over a 'wet' underfloor heating system. Wanted wood, but have been told that tiles are the best for conduction. We plan to lay the pipes over concrete.

Have you considered LVT?

Luxury Vinyl Tile - trade names - Amtico, Karndean, Distinctive, Polyflor, etc

- they are "approved" for any screeded in underfloor heating system (but use high temperature adhesive!!!!!)

They come in very realistic wood effects (as well as tile) and in my opinion are more scratch resistant than laminate and real wood, they usually have an R8 (or higher) anti-slip rating and easy clean too

Or use a true pressure sensitive adhesive like f.ball F46 IMO works better over underfloor heating then HT.
