I been doing my driveway last week and rain stopped play and been like it since due to soil being really wet. my question is when can i start again as it drying out most of the area can support all 20st of me without sinking its only the middle where i sink about 3-4 inch's and about 5 mins later you can see water appear. could i replace the really wet soil with dryer soil that i already dug out?

never add back in soil, even sub-soil, thats already been dug out.
If you sink into it a vibrating plate will just turn it to a quagmire.
The only other option is to put a load of crusher run onto it then compact that into it and add more MOT sub-base after its dried a little, thats how its dealt with on mucky building sites.
