You have nearly six millon public sector workers with gold plated pensions. That's nearly half the population.

I'm not a tory , I'm a socialist. If you want to play in the game you have to be part of it. Being outside of Euroland is so stupid as to be insane. Nobody ever mentions what we get from them. In any case Europe is more than money it's security. My socialism isn't labour or any political party that exists ,yet. I believe that only those who have a bona fide right to be here should have a vote or take advantage of anything that is paid for by tax payers. Illegals from asia must be removed and all those who helped them stay here. None of these have any rights. Being dictated to by these types is wrong. Blaming Europe for our problems is also wrong, perhaps sorting out our own shop first is the logical thing to do. I wish.

My brother always leant to the right, not quite as far as me, but definitely someone you could accuse of being a Thatcher's child. In thought and deed he still does.

However, since he started working for the council (though I find saying that he works for the corporation annoys him for some reason, so I use this term as often as possible ) fifteen years ago, he always votes Labour.

He has quite rightly worked out that Labour are more likely to make his employment conditions more secure and better paid.

Ironically, he's voting Labour to look after number one - which would have pleased Maggie. Sort of.
