Rather than messing about with keys that might get lost, it struck me that a combination lock for the draw and door of my desk in my home office, might be a solution for securing it (pictured).

Some searching has revealed that there doesn't seem to be a ready made solution for this, other than buying another desk with this feature as standard.

I considered a hasp and padlock but it sounds as though it would be ugly and cumbersome.

Do any of you good people have a better idea of how I might tackle this?

Many thanks in advance. :)

There are a number of manufacturers who make combination locks for cabinets.

The site below is just an example.

Of course, you would need to drill fitting holes in the cabinets but they would look much neater and are easily done with a holesaw or spade/forstner bit.

Thank you, my search was clearly too hasty, I was just getting US results and when Amazon didn't sell them, I assumed it wasn't a thing here!

Cheers again.
