hiya all had a new back door about a year and a half a go, had a few problems with it - i end up with the suppliers/fitters approval putting a new screw in as it was coming away from the frame, and its always been tight when it heats up in the conservatory, these problems aside all been ok

noticed today that the middle hinge has a sight crack on it (its the only hinge that is more at a slight angle as appose to being straight) guessing adjusted by the fitted.

anyway its about a inch crack, could this cause problems, i see that these can be replaced? worth while doing? worth while advising the company that fitted it, or just best to leave it and see if it gets any worse (could it)

thanks in advance :)

Get on to fitters. Sounds as though "Not of merchantable quality" You don't expect hinges to go that quick. You can still contact the fitting company?

Needs replacing, could be fitted out of line which could cause a stress fracture.

dont really want them to start ripping the door out? would they have to do that? thanks for quick replies, ill contact them

By the sound of it it sounds like just the hinge has failed and can be replaced as you point out, what makes you think they would replace the door[which you say you don't want]?
