Sealing Plasterboard

Hope that someone can help me!

I'm in the process of refitting my bathroom and have put up new plasterboard walls (used the moisture resistant boards). We were hoping to paint directly onto the boards rather than skimming but don't know what to use to seal the boards first.

I've read lots of different things - some that say to use pva and others that say a mist coat and am getting very confused!!

What do you recommend??

After you have taped and filled any joints of course.

Wickes do a plasterboard sealer - is this pretty much the same stuff?
