Bath mixer shower - help turn shower on

We have just moved into a house that has a mixer/shower on the bath. We have been here a month and can't work out how to switch from 'bath fill' mode to 'shower' mode! There is usually an obvious lever that switches from one mode to the other - but on this unit we can't find anything! Please see pic below.

When the taps are turned, the bath fills - and that's it!

I thought it was something to do with that big circular dial below the taps on the side of the bath, but all that does is release the plug.

With the water running, push the sleeve below the shower hose down

Brilliant. Thanks so much. The sleeve at the bottom lifted up and it works perfectly!
