Bristan Colonial Basin Taps - QUESTION

I have these tapes and now the cold won't turn more than one turn in either direction. The results is a trickle of water. I open the tap up and removed the circlip. I attempted to remove the inside of the tap, but it would not budge and I did want to force it.

Does anyone know if the inside actually come out or are they a complete sealed unit?

Thanks for that... Mine seems locked solid, any ideas on how to get it out?

Think I'll buy an insert, as opposed to attempting to clean?
