Hi,

Excuse my novice mind here!

I have removed an old faulty kitchen tap to fit a new one.

This picture, http://imgur.com/RjpH9 shows the ends of the pipe connectors on the new tap.

This picture, http://imgur.com/eMMHL shows the pipes under the sink I need to connect these to. (hot on the left, cold on the right)

I can not see any way of attaching the end of the flexible fit fittings to what is under the sink!

I've tried to remove what look like the joint on the cold pipe work... but after turning it with a spanner for about 10 minutes it's not coming off (turns freely....but won't move up and off)

Hope that makes sense.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to hold the pipe fittings still whilst undoing the nuts. If the tap tails are long enough you can connect directly to the nuts/olives left from the old fitting although it would be better to fitt a couple of isolation valves.

If the existing fittings move freely they will need to be tightened up or they will leak.

Unless it's a perspective thing, it looks like the lower right fitting is 15mm, the upper left fitting 22mm.
Might be wrong.
